Summer should not be a break from learning; it should be learning at its most exciting. At the International Montessori School of Fort Lauderdale, our Montessori summer camp gives children ages 2 ½ to 7 a place to explore, create, and grow during the months when many programs shut down.
This summer, children will cook real meals from scratch, build creations from recycled materials, and conduct hands-on science experiments. Our three themed sessions combine the Montessori approach with outdoor play, water games, gardening, and mindfulness.
Children continue building independence, creativity, and social skills in a nurturing environment led by experienced guides.

Our Fort Lauderdale summer camp runs in three themed sessions. You can enroll your child for one session, two, or all three. Each session builds on the Montessori approach while exploring a unique theme through hands-on activities, outdoor play, water games, gardening, and mindfulness.
Duration: (2 weeks of Summer Camp)
Summer Camp Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 2:30 pm
Number of Students: A minimum of 5 students is needed
Fee: $790 for 2 weeks of Summer Camp
Activities: Food preparation and culinary skill development. Outdoor physical activities, water games, gardening, and
mindfulness.
Session 2 - Topic
Duration: (2 weeks of Summer Camp)
Summer Camp Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 2:30 pm
Number of Students: A minimum of 5 students is needed
Fee: $790 for 2 weeks of Summer Camp
Activities: Creative building from recycled materials, outdoor physical activities, water games, gardening, mindfulness
Session 3 - Topic
Duration: (3 weeks of Summer Camp)
Summer Camp Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 2:30 pm
Number of Students: A minimum of 5 students is needed
Fee: $1,185 for 3 weeks of Summer Camp
Activities: General science experiments, space, biology, environmental science, outdoor exercise, art, craft, gardening, cooking, mindfulness
What a Day Looks Like at
Our Summer Camp
Our summer camp runs Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM. A typical day balances structured activities with free exploration, quiet moments with active play, and indoor learning with outdoor adventure.
- Morning arrival and circle time: Greeting in Spanish and English, reviewing the day’s theme
- Themed exploration: Hands-on activities connected to the session’s theme (cooking projects, recycled material building, or science experiments)
- Outdoor play and water games: Physical activities, gardening, nature exploration, and gross motor development
- Practical life activities: Preparing snacks, cleaning up, caring for the environment, building independence
- Mindfulness and rest: Quiet activities, yoga, and breathing exercises for self-regulation
- Afternoon wrap-up: Story time, sharing discoveries, and preparing for dismissal

Our Montessori summer camp in Fort Lauderdale welcomes children ages 2.5 to 7, whether or not they attend our school during the academic year. This is a summer camp for toddlers and preschoolers who thrive with hands-on, child-led activities rather than a rigid adult-directed schedule.
Our summer camp is a great fit if your child enjoys cooking, building, experimenting, and discovering new things. It is also ideal for families who want their child to continue learning during the summer without the pressure of a formal classroom setting.

Our Montessori summer camp in Fort Lauderdale accepts children ages 2.5 to 7. Children do not need to be currently enrolled at International Montessori School to attend. The mixed-age environment allows younger and older children to learn from each other.
